Helen Thompson

Director of Resourcing

Makes

Spending time with my family and friends, taking my cockapoo Billy for long walks on the beach, camping in Dorset

Breaks

Social media trolls, belly buttons, rudeness

What do you do when you’re not working?

I take my cockapoo Billy to the beach for a walk every night. I regularly fail to cook a lovely dinner for the family (so my husband does it instead – top tip)

A bit about me

Helen started her 4OC journey in November 2021, working with one of our major clients, Transport for London, on the Station Security Technology Integration Programme (SSTIP) to address security risks, compliance risks and obsolescence. Using her Project Management, Business Analysis and Lean Six Sigma skills, Helen successfully led three Future Capabilities projects to enable TfL to remotely download CCTV footage, improve their current asset support model and update engineering standards.

Based on the success of 4OC coupled with Helen’s background in Recruitment, HR and Change Management, she has lead the Resourcing Department since July 2023. Since then, she has been working on making sure anyone that works for 4OC, joins well, stays well and leaves well (which is rare!).

Prior to joining 4OC, Helen worked for Nationwide Building Society as a Lead Business Designer and Lean Six Sigma specialist. This is where she gained her BCS Diploma in Business Analysis Practice and advanced diploma modules in Agile and Stakeholder Management. Before that she worked for Action for Employment and successfully delivered projects in a number of areas including Offender Management, Work Programme, Skills and Independent Living. One of Helen’s key achievements at A4E was supporting the set-up of the first adult vocational centre in Brixton, which was created to support the long term unemployed (or never employed) into employment.
