All the good things

I like to enthuse others and work as part of a team. Developing people is important to me and is something that motivates. I sometimes can get immersed in detail, but my key driver is getting the job done with a practical and pragmatic focus and doing it well to a high standard.

And the bad things

D.I.Y – Why do it yourself?!  Indecision. Shopping for birthday cards (there is so much choice, it makes me so indecisive which is something that frustrates me).

What do you do when you’re not working?

I love travel to interesting new places, sampling the food, experiencing the culture, and facing new challenges. When not travelling I love long walks and fresh air either in the mountains, countryside or on the coast – living in the North East of England we have all three on our doorstep! I also love dancing, (I’m a qualified teacher of dance) so if the music is playing, I will probably be up and dancing.

A bit about me

After graduating (many, many, years ago) with a degree in Systems Management, my first role was as a Trainer delivering employability programmes.  I have a passion for education and skills development demonstrated throughout in my career working in FE delivery, Apprenticeships and Employability Programmes.  Along with my experience of working in this sector, I am a qualified teacher (PGCE), and have a clear understanding of education and employability services, bringing with that commercial project management experience.

As an experienced Senior Manager, I worked for a number of years as Operations Director and then decided to follow my passion for business improvement and leading business change programmes working as a Transformation Director within both the Private and Public Sector.   I have been delivering organisational change in a diverse range of customer focused environments whilst maintaining excellent client relationships.

I have worked with many colleagues from 4OC over many years on different projects and in different organisations.  I value and resonate with the ethos, their ambition, and the customer focused approach of 4OC.  They are also a fun bunch of people to be around and work with.
