What do you do when you’re not working?

I love travelling – and despite years of doing it for a living, still yearn to see new places and meet new people. When not away, I love walking and climbing in the most beautiful parts of the UK and discovering new and more beautiful places.

Additionally I like music, theatre, film and sport, and like a number of my 4OC colleagues – I can occasionally be found in a bar, usually with a pint of Guinness!

A bit about me

James joined 4OC in February 2019 as a Managing Consultant working primarily across health clients in the UK and Ireland. With a strong track record of transformation and change management, James leads our work with clients on the transformation of education and training functions, leadership development with NHS Boards, re-engineering and digitising patient care pathways amongst his engagements at 4OC. James is particularly adept working across complex stakeholder groups to find common ground amongst those with often diverse or opposing opinions and is able to facilitate a unifying vision as a foundation for change.

Prior to joining 4OC, James was already a highly experienced and senior leader, having held executive and board level roles in both the public, private and Third Sector organisations, most recently as Deputy Chief Executive Officer within an NHS Trust. An enthusiastic and energetic consultant, James has a strong track record of designing and delivering transformative strategies which have delivered enduring change across several organisations. James has led local, national, and global change programs working across a broad range of cultures and differing environments.
