About me:

I’ve worked in and around the public sector for over 30 years, first with Westminster City Council on moving to London then with the private sector designing and delivering services principally for Local Government, but with some Central Government elements added to the mix. Much of my career has focussed on working with public sector clients to find solutions that juggle increased demand, improved performance and reduced cost – without giving in to quick fixes and losing sight of the needs of staff and customers.

One of the most rewarding aspects of these roles has been working directly with customers and clients in operational roles. I’ve also been a specialist in Welfare Reform and was lucky to have the opportunity to establish a team of trainers and consultants who worked with local authorities across the UK to mitigate the complexity of a sometimes unsympathetic bureaucracy wherever we could.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I ski modestly and travel widely; I also enjoy the cinema and listening to music as well as leisurely lunches overlooking the sea.
