What do you do when you’re not working?

Lots of stuff – I’m not very good at sitting still. To show how deep social housing has got into me, I find myself going for a run around regeneration areas in London to see how permeable the designs of the estates are…

A bit about me

Deciding on a housing degree back in 1989, partly based on Nottingham having better record shops and nightclubs than Sheffield, has served me well. And who wouldn’t want to be involved with the cornerstone of people’s lives, their homes.

As a result, I’ve worked at Housing Associations for the last 30 years, starting as a housing officer in Leicester and ending up as executive director of corporate services at Notting Hill Housing. And in my career I’ve been lucky enough to lead dynamic, forward-thinking teams and deliver major projects aimed at creating and sustaining great places to work, ultimately for the benefit of tenants and customers. I love strategy, managing change in complex organisations and improving services.

I joined 4OC in early 2021 after enjoying working alongside them on a merger integration and transformation programme. It’s a good fit for me.

I’m part of the Housing team.
