All the good things

Finding solutions. Making a difference. A good gin and tonic in the evening!

And the bad things

Unnecessary red tape. Inequality. Mushrooms.

What do you do when you’re not working?

My Girlguiding role keeps me busy outside of work – it is full-on volunteering!

However, I also am a keen walker, and a wannabe golfer.

A bit about me

I have spent the last 30 years managing transformational change in financial services, consultancy and the third sector, predominantly in programme and change management, strategy development and implementation.

I have over 20 years experience of being a trustee too, gained through volunteering with local, national and international NGOs.

The third sector is where I thrive. I worked for Citizens Advice for several years leading a £10M project and then as a member of the Wales Leadership Team leading externally funded projects and programmes.  Subsequently I have provided consultancy services across a number of other charitable organisations, including ActionAid UK, Quakers, Missing People, Leap Confronting Conflict, Womankind Worldwide and Anthony Nolan.

I am currently Chief Guide for Girlguiding UK which has a third of a million members including 64,000 adult volunteers.

My experience as both an employee and a volunteer in the charity sector is really helpful for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration, and ultimately for delivering impactful solutions.

I joined 4OC in September 2021. 4OC’s strong social values and their inspirational, hard-working teams make it a natural home for me
